London Golf Club Continues to Strengthen Reputation as Leading Host Venue

London Golf Club has further reinforced its reputation as one of the UK’s leading golf event venues following the successful hosting of two major disability golf events at the Kent club.

Over recent months, the venue welcomed players from across the world for both the London Golf Club G4D event and the Kipp Popert World Invitational, underlining London Golf Club’s ongoing commitment to supporting golf at every level while showcasing its ability to deliver world-class events.

The London Golf Club G4D event attracted a fully subscribed international field competing across multiple impairment categories, while the Kipp Popert World Invitational brought together world-leading golfers with a disability (G4D), amateur players and young disabled participants for a celebration of inclusive golf.

Established by World Number One disability golfer Kipp Popert in partnership with Variety Golf, the Invitational featured players from nine countries including Cameroon, South Africa, the USA, Canada, Spain and Ireland, highlighting the growing global profile of disability golf.

Alongside the competition itself, the event also focused heavily on participation and accessibility, with disabled children taking part in dedicated coaching sessions delivered by expert coaches and G4D professionals at the club’s practice facilities.

Stephen Follett,
chief executive of London Golf Club, said:

“We are extremely proud to have hosted both the London Golf Club G4D event and the Kipp Popert World Invitational at London Golf Club.

“These events reflect what the game should be about – creating opportunities for everyone to enjoy and compete in golf while showcasing the incredible talent that exists within disability golf worldwide.

“We have always taken great pride in delivering high-quality events and experiences, whether that is international tournaments, corporate golf days, member events or charity initiatives. Our team works incredibly hard to ensure every guest enjoys first-class service, fantastic hospitality and two outstanding golf courses.”

Located in Ash, Kent, London Golf Club has built a strong reputation for hosting elite-level tournaments and corporate events over the last three decades. The venue has previously hosted multiple DP World Tour and Legends Tour events and continues to be recognised as a potential future Ryder Cup venue.

The club’s Heritage course remains one of the country’s most highly regarded members-only layouts, while the International course regularly hosts visitor play and tournament competition.

London Golf Club recently unveiled ambitious expansion plans through The London Project, which includes proposals for a new hotel, spa, leisure facilities and enhanced sporting infrastructure as part of a long-term vision to transform the venue into a world-class leisure destination.

Follett added:
“As we continue to evolve through The London Project, it is important that we remain committed to growing the game and ensuring London Golf Club is a venue that welcomes golfers of all backgrounds and abilities.
“Hosting events such as these is something we are incredibly passionate about and we look forward to continuing to support initiatives that positively impact the game.”
