London Golf Club partners with Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation
Here at London Golf Club, as guardians to over 700 acres of land we are always striving to follow best sustainable practices in a bid to make our environment – and our golf courses – as sustainable as possible.
That includes ensuring the golf courses are a haven for wildlife.
At the start of autumn, we were delighted to welcome the team from Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation to London Golf Club.
One of the UK’s original bird of prey centres, the Kent-based non-profit organisation works across the region, caring for animals and supporting conservation work.
On site, the team installed nest boxes across the golf courses for local kestrels and barn owls ready for the 2026 breeding season.
These incredible birds are struggling to find safe nesting sites due to habitat loss. This collaboration will provide secure homes where they can raise their young and thrive. Both are essential for controlling rodent populations and keeping our ecosystem balanced.
This is just the start of our conservation journey with them. Their team will monitor the boxes to track nesting success and gather valuable data.
