London Golf Club's Paul Stuart Awarded PGA Fellow After 32 Years of Service to the Club
London Golf Club’s Head PGA Professional, Paul Stuart, has been awarded a PGA Fellow, one of the most prestigious accolades a PGA Professional can achieve, in recognition of more than three decades of service, coaching excellence and leadership at the Kent venue.
Stuart joined London Golf Club 32 years ago and has since become one of the most respected figures in the club’s history. He enjoyed a successful playing career of his own, earning England honours in 1995 and competing on the European Challenge Tour in 2000, before building a coaching career that has shaped generations of golfers and PGA Professionals who have come through the club.
Renowned for his expertise in the short game and with over 25 years of coaching experience, Stuart now heads up the London Golf Club Academy, mentoring the club’s tuition team, hosting Corporate Golf Events and Pro-Ams, and sharing his knowledge each week through the club’s popular Free Lesson Friday series. In 2019, he was named PGA South Region Coach of the Year.
PGA Fellow status is awarded quarterly through the PGA’s Excel framework and recognises members who have demonstrated sustained commitment, expertise and professionalism across coaching, management and the wider golf industry. Paul was named among a small group of new Fellow Professionals announced by the PGA this year, in recognition of a career built on dedication to both the game and the people who play it.

While PGA Fellow status reflects Stuart’s dedication to coaching, it also speaks to the wider role he has played in developing London Golf Club as a tournament venue. Over his 32-year tenure, he has been closely involved in shaping the club’s plans for hosting major events, playing a pivotal part behind the scenes of tournaments including the European Open in 2008 and 2009 and the Cazoo Classic in 2021, helping cement London Golf Club’s reputation as one of the country’s leading championship venues.
Located in Ash, Kent, London Golf Club has built a strong reputation for hosting elite-level tournaments and events over the last three decades. The club’s courses have played host to the historic European Open, won by Ross Fisher in 2008 and Christian Cévaër in 2009, as well as the Volvo World Match Play Championship in 2014, won by Mikko Ilonen, following in the footsteps of past champions including Seve Ballesteros, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Sir Nick Faldo, alongside Legends Tour events and the Kipp Popert World Invitational.
